Thilo Dahlmann

Bass baritone Thilo Dahlmann grew up in Hunsrück (Germany) and studied singing under Ulf Baestlein, Berthold Schmid, Guido Baehr and Wolfgang Millgramm at the Folkwang College in Essen, where he passed his diploma exam with distinction. His collaboration with Roland Hermann also contributed significantly to shaping him as a vocalist.

He won first prize at the North Rhine-Westphalia National Competition. Thilo Dahlmann was a member of the International Opera Studio at the Zurich Opera House. He has made guest appearances at the German Opera of the Rhine in Düsseldorf, Wuppertal Buehnen, Koblenz Theater and St. Gallen Theater. He has been a soloist at many international festivals in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Japan. He recently sang at the opening concert of the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie.

He has had many DVD and CD productions in Germany, Switzerland, France and Austria. He teaches as professor of singing at the Musikhochschule in Frankfurt and was a visiting professor at the University of Graz.
